Call for Abstracts
The ABA Australia is a professional organisation that seeks to assist in the development and advancement of the field of behaviour analysis within Australia through research, education, and dissemination of information.
Our 2021 Conference offers a unique opportunity to showcase the science of Behaviour Analysis in terms of its wide application and relevance worldwide and in the Australian context. We are looking forward to having a wide variety of researchers, professionals and academics currently working in the field of Behaviour Analysis, both here and internationally, share their work.
We would like to invite you to consider participating in what is sure to be an amazing event.
Abstract submissions open: 02 March 2021

Posters - We
will not have a poster session at our virtual conference. Poster
sessions will be available at our networking events later in the year.
We have two presentation options for accepted submissions
Prerecord your presentation and it is available on-demand for the entire length of the virtual conference. You will need to set up a time to record your presentation with one of the conference committee members prior to the conference starting or within the first week of the July.
You can present live at one of our predetermined live sessions. Live sessions will be held once a week. You will be asked to rank your preference for presentation days as part of your submission application.

When submitting your abstract, please follow the guidelines below to what your abstract should include:
The online submission process takes you through a step-by-step guide to submission and allows you to submit multiple abstracts. Once the abstract has been submitted, you will not be able to make any further changes. If at anytime throughout the process you need assistance, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Following acceptance into the program, you can register to attend the conference. Early Bird registration fees will be extended to successful presenters and you will be provided with an email with a link to register at this rate along with the date by which you will need to be registered.
How will I know if you received my submission?
You will receive a confirmation email that your abstract has been received within a week of submission
When will I find out out my results?
Email notification of programming decisions will be between 1/6/2021 - 5/6/2021.
If your abstract is not accepted in the program and you wish to cancel your registration please do so within 5 business days of abstract notification or standard cancellation penalties apply.
Will my abstract be published online?
The final program will be published to this web page along with a pdfs of the speaker bios and abstracts.
What do I need to do if my abstract is accepted?
All authors presenting online must register and pay to attend. Authors agree to permit the conference organisers to publish the abstract in the conference handbook and other conference materials as required. The acceptance of an abstract for the conference does not imply registration for the conference, nor any other costs associated with preparation or presentation of the abstract or presenters attendance at the conference. Presentations must reference existing research and literature relevant to the content of the submission. Include a reference list at the end of your presentation using APA format. If the author(s) received any funding/industry support for the research presented, clear acknowledgment of support should be included at the end of the presentation.

ABA Australia is interested in providing Learning Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBAs) or Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analysts (BCaBAs) for our annual 2021 conference. If you are a BCBA or BCBA-D in good standing OR meet the criteria below, we encourage you to complete CEU application when you submit your presentation.
