Key information. A former member is someone who has not been a member with the Association for up to 3 years. Former members who held Professional, Affiliate, Student, or Supporter memberships are not eligible for readmission of membership and must submit a new membership application and meet the current membership requirements. Former members who held CBA or CBAU memberships can apply to be reinstated either to their former category by following the reinstatement requirements outlined below, or submit a new application for a different category of membership. If they are no longer a former member, that is, they have not been a member for longer than 3 years, a new application must be submitted and the person must meet the current membership requirements at the time of application. The member who is reinstated will retain their original membership number but will be given a new certification date to reflect the date of membership reinstatement.
