ABA Australia’s Social and Reading events continued to be a popular member benefit across 2024.  With monthly meet-ups held in Adelaide, Gold Coast, Perth, Sydney and Newcastle, ABA Australia members met in-person to discuss hot topics in behaviour analysis including:

  • Training Other Professionals
  • Receiving and Providing Feedback
  • Visual Supports
  • Essential for Living
  • Cultural Diversity

ABA Australia are delighted to announce these in-person events will continue in 2025, with a comprehensive line-up of discussion topics to be held across the year already in the making. We are also looking forward to bringing these events to more states, and ultimately to more ABA Australia members.

More information needed?

  • Every month, members are invited to register for the free in-person event. Held locally in RSL’s, pubs, cafes etc…, these 2-hour sessions offer members the opportunity to network and engage with like minded behaviour analysts, while discussing the hot topic of interest chosen for that specific month.
  • Upon registration, each member will receive details of the chosen topic, in addition to a research article and/or podcast episode to review ahead of the event.
  • Throughout the session, the discussion will be facilitated by an ABA Australia representative (BCBA/CBA). Members are encouraged to provide their opinions and thoughts on the topic.
  • At the end of each session, members are encouraged to provide feedback, via a QR code, and provided with the date for the next month's meeting.
  • For CBA/CBAU and Professional members, 2 FREE ABA Australia PDUs/BACB CEs will be provided.
