ABA Australia’s Social and Reading events continue to exist as a popular MEMBERS ONLY in-person event. In our first year post Covid restrictions and lockdowns, 2023 proved a successful one, with meet-ups continuing in Sydney, New South Wales, but also introduced for our members in Adelaide, South Australia and Perth, Western Australia. Every month, members are invited to register for the free in-person event. Held locally in RSL’s, pubs, cafes etc…, these 2-hour sessions offer members the opportunity to network and engage with like minded behaviour analysts, while discussing the hot topic of interest chosen for that specific month. Upon registration, each member will receive details of the chosen topic, which include 1 or more research based articles, along with a podcast episode. Members are encouraged to preview the articles and podcasts prior to the meet-up. Throughout the session, the discussion will be facilitated by an ABA Australia representative. Members are encouraged to provide their opinions and thoughts on the topic. At the end of each session, members are encouraged to provide feedback, via a QR code, and provided with the date for the next month's meeting.
